Fraternal missionaries visited parishioners in remote villages of the Irkutsk regiontranslated

Prikhody.ru 09/18/2026. The missionary group of the Bratsk diocese traveled from the city of Bratsk to the village of Naratay (Irkutsk region). The route also ran along the Bratsk Reservoir by ship. Throughout the entire trip from September 14 to 16, the missionaries were carrying arks with particles of the relics of the great martyr and healer Panteleimon, St. Spyridon of Trimythous and St. Luke of Crimea.

The missionaries performed services in the prayer room of Naratai and walked with the shrines in a religious procession through its streets. Here the church under construction in the name of the martyr Tryphon of Apamea was examined. The building of the former residential building has already been equipped with an altar. On the second day, the group visited the church in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the village of Karakhun and after the prayer service here they talked with residents at the Karakhun secondary school.

On the same day, the missionaries arrived in the village of Priboyny. A prayer service was held in the building of the local club, and then the question of a possible location for the construction of the church was discussed with local residents. According to the website of the Fraternal Diocese, the option of converting a residential building is currently being considered.
