Divine Liturgy at Panteleimon Church in Samaratranslated

On August 30, the 13th Sunday after Pentecost, Metropolitan Theodosius of Samara and Novokuybyshevsk led the Divine Liturgy in the church in honor of the holy great martyr and healer Panteleimon in the city of Samara. His Eminence was co-served by the rector of the church, Archpriest Rustik Guz, and the clergy of the Samara diocese. During the service, a conception from the First Epistle of the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians (1 Cor. 16:13–24) was read. In the concluding lines of the letter, the apostle calls on Christians to stay awake, stand firm in the faith, maintain courage and spiritual strength, and do all their deeds with love. It also reminds us of the need to support fellow workers, maintain church unity, and remain faithful to the Lord in the midst of life's trials. The history of the parish of the Great Martyr Panteleimon in the village of Sukhaya Samarka began in 2000. At the request of Archbishop Sergius of Samara and Syzran, the empty building of the former savings bank was transferred to the church. The first service here took place on April 30, 2000, on the feast of the Holy Resurrection of Christ.
