The pillar of St. Simeon the Stylite has been restored near Aleppotranslated

Not far from the city of Aleppo (Syria), a sacred pillar was restored, on which the Monk Simeon the Stylite (356-459) labored in ascetic solitude for several decades. This event was timed to coincide with the saint’s memorial day (September 1/14) and the beginning of the Church New Year.
