Charity visit of Archbishop Stefan to the Dovsky district hospitaltranslated

On the eve of the International Day of Older Persons, September 29, 2026, His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, visited the nursing wards at the Rogachev Central District Hospital, Dovsky District Hospital.

The Bishop met with patients and staff of the institution. There are currently 20 elderly residents of the area in nursing wards who need constant care, medical attention and attention.

For the needs of the institution, Archbishop Stefan donated personal hygiene products, disposable diapers, wet wipes, cloth, socks and other necessary items.

During the meeting, the bishop talked with the patients, supported them with kind words and gave each of them gifts with sweets and juice.

Caring for older people remains one of the important areas of the Church’s social ministry. Of particular importance in this work are attention to the person, the possibility of communication and support for those who need constant care.
