Aviation school cadets received blessing for their studiestranslated

On September 1, a solemn ceremony of presenting the military banner to the command of the Ulyanovsk Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots of the Russian Defense Ministry took place at the Ulyanovsk Palace of Children and Youth Creativity.

From the Simbirsk diocese, with the blessing of Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky, the head of the department for interaction with the armed forces, Archpriest Sergius Kichigin, took part in the ceremony.

The priest performed a prayer service “On calling on the help of the Holy Spirit for every good deed,” blessed the officers and cadets for the upcoming academic year, and wished those present God’s help and strength of spirit in serving the Fatherland.

Хорошо, что отец Сергий Кичигин отслужил именно этот молебен «О призывании помощи Святого Духа». Мой племянник как раз в таком училище учится, знаю, как им важно чувствовать поддержку и в молитве, и от епархии. Удачи курсантам в этом году.

Da, m-am bucurat să citesc că părintele Serghie a slujit tocmai acel molift „Pentru chemarea ajutorului Sfântului Duh”. E un început bun de an școlar, mai ales pentru băieții care zboară. Să le dea Dumnezeu sănătate și minte limpede, ca ai mei nepoți când învățau meserie.

Father Sergiy chose the right prayer for those cadets — calling on the Holy Spirit for every good work fits flying training perfectly. My cousin's son just started at a similar school last year, and he said the blessing from the priest really steadied his nerves before the first flights.
