On September 24, 2026, on the eve of Machine Builders Day, large-scale celebrations were held at the Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant.

The participants in the holiday of machine builders were the leaders of Transmashholding and NEVZ, representatives of the Don government and the Legislative Power, local governments and the business community.

At the invitation of the leadership of NEVZ, the dean of the parishes of the Novocherkassk district, Archpriest Oleg Dobrinsky, took part in the festive events.

The first significant event of the holiday was the opening of the VL8 interactive museum.

Inside the museum space - a real locomotive VL8 - the history of Soviet and Russian railway transport came to life in a new modern retelling. The electric locomotive was found on the Crimean Railway and turned out to be in full working order. Despite its impressive age - more than 60 years - the car was completely complete. He returned to NEVZ, already as a living monument, in March 2024.
