Library hour “The Greatness of the Mother of God”translated

On September 25, in the spiritual and educational center of the Polotsk diocese for students of class 5 “A” of the educational institution “Polotsk State Gymnasium No. 1 named after F. Skorina” a library hour “The Glorification of the Mother of God” was held. The librarian of the parish of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Novopolotsk, Olga Bakunovich, was invited to the event.

At the beginning of the library hour, the Center’s methodologist Valentina Ivanovna Treshchenok told the schoolchildren about the book “The Law of God” and why it is important to fulfill God’s Commandments in life.

The parish librarian Olga Bakunovich introduced the children to the twelve holidays established in the Orthodox Church in honor of the Most Holy Theotokos. The story was accompanied by colorful presentation slides and video material.
