The authorities from the Republic of Moldova have taken a new step in order to include the village Hora on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO, informs Moldpress.
The subject was analyzed during a meeting of the National Commission for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, which examined the actions taken to prepare the file and recommended the elaboration of an informative note on the initiation of cooperation with Romania and other states in South-Eastern Europe.
The village choir The representatives of the National Center for Traditional Culture presented the results of a questionnaire sent to 118 localities in the Republic of Moldova, from which it appears that the village Hora tradition is still practiced and passed down from generation to generation in many communities.
At the same time, the members of the Commission analyzed the draft inventory sheet of the element "Village Time", a document necessary for the preparation of a possible UNESCO candidacy.
