As climate change marches on, African churches keep the momentum

As the global climate crisis accelerates faster than collective response and new conflicts slice attention, African church leaders are highlighting the need to increase action, as the emergency hurts their congregations.

The impacts are being felt in extreme temperatures, severe droughts, devastating floods, and accelerating vector and water-borne diseases across the continent.

We also had a dry summer in Nizhny this year; the tomatoes in the garden could barely grow. I wonder how they cope with corn in Malawi through these crop rotations - maybe they could tell us something useful. They raise their voices, but are they heard in large offices, that’s the question.
