Archpastoral visit to the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Adrianovichitranslated

On August 14, Bishop Feognost of Serov and Krasnoturinsky made an archpastoral visit to the church in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in the village of Adrianovichi.

During the visit, the bishop had a warm conversation with the parishioners. During the conversation, various topics were discussed, including the life of the parish, issues of spiritual support for the community, and current economic tasks. The Bishop listened carefully to the requests and wishes of the believers, gave pastoral instructions and supported the parishioners with words of consolation and encouragement.

The village of Adrianovichi (formerly Ivanovskoye) has a rich and distinctive history. The first settlers here were yasak Voguls. The founder of the community is considered to be the nomadic Vogul Andrian Esaulkov, who had two sons - Ivan and Peter. From the name of the first son came the name of the village of Ivanovskoye (aka Adrianovichi), and from the name of the second - the village of Petrova, located higher along the Sosva River.

An important milestone in the spiritual life of the village was the appearance of its own church. In 1865, a chapel was built in Adrianovichi. In 1877, with the blessing of Bishop Vassian of Yekaterinburg, it was rebuilt into a wooden single-altar church, which in 1878 was consecrated in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos.
