The Archepiscopal Chapel "Octoechoi" Participated in the Closing Ceremony of the International Youth Festivaltranslated

On September 16, an official closing ceremony of the 2026 International Youth Festival took place at the exhibition center "Ekaterinburg-EXPO." The ensemble choir consisting of 700 young residents of Sverdlovsk, including members of the Archepiscopal Children's Choir "Octoechoi" from the Ekaterinburg Diocese, became a highlight of the festival.

It is worth noting that at the closing ceremony, the ensemble choir, which also included the Choir of Boys "Zvezda," the children's choir of the Sverdlovsk Male Choral College, Jazz Choir, and the boys' and young men's choir of the Sverdlovsk Children's Philharmonic Society, performed together with famous artists Vasilisa Berzhanskaia and Dmitry Koldun, singing the composition "Hallelujah."

Members of the Archepiscopal Children's Choir also participated in other events of the International Youth Forum. On the stage of the Russian Ministry of Sports, guests and participants of the festival could witness the vibrant improvisations of the archepiscopal choir: together with the host, young vocalists staged a scene from the film "Adventures of Electronica," performing the song "Winged Swings," and also danced around a circle in the Russian House and sang the Russian folk song "Broomsticks."
