On the day of the celebration of the memory of the Hieromartyr Eusebius, Bishop of Samosat (380) and on the 5th Sunday after Pentecost, Metropolitan Vikenty of Tashkent and Uzbekistan, Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass, Bishop of Chrysostom and Satka Seraphim led the Divine Liturgy in the lower church of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in Chelyabinsk.
The archpastors were concelebrated by the secretary of the Chelyabinsk diocese, Archpriest Igor Shestakov, and the clergy. The chants were performed by the Bishop's male choir "Axios" under the direction of regent Alexander Khakimov.
In his sermon, Metropolitan Vincent focused on a passage from the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 8:28-34, 9:1) about the Lord’s healing of two demoniacs in the country of Gergesin.
“Instead of gratitude for delivering them from the demon-possessed, instead of repentance for breaking the commandments, the inhabitants of the Gergesin country asked Jesus Christ to move away from their aisles.
