Archbishop Stefan met with residents of the Vasilyevsky boarding housetranslated

On the eve of the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord God and our Savior Jesus Christ, August 18, 2026, His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, visited the state institution “Gomel Social Boarding House “Vasilievsky” on a charitable visit.
Currently, 159 elderly people and people with disabilities live in the institution. Archbishop Stefan regularly visits the boarding house, meets with its wards and employees, and provides the necessary assistance.
During the next visit, the bishop talked with the residents and staff of the institution, inquired about their well-being and living conditions. The archpastor gave watermelons, apricots, sweet peppers, honey and sugar to the boarding house’s residents.
During the conversation, Bishop Stefan wished everyone health, strength, spiritual peace and God’s help. For people whose daily lives largely depend on the care of others, such attention is especially important.
Representatives of the administration of the institution thanked Archbishop Stefan for his attention to the residents, the assistance provided and spiritual support.
