Archbishop Stefan congratulated Gomel teachers on Teacher's Daytranslated

On September 30, 2026, a festive event dedicated to Teacher’s Day was held at the City Culture Center. Teachers from schools and preschool institutions, veterans of teaching work, representatives of regional and city authorities, deputies, clergy and leaders of public associations gathered in the hall.

On this day, the first deputy chairman of the Gomel City Executive Committee, Andrey Andreevich Ivanov, and the head of the main education department of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, Ruslan Ivanovich Smirnov, addressed the teaching community of Gomel. Words of gratitude to the teachers for their many years of work, dedication to the profession and participation in the education of the younger generation were heard from the stage.

His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, addressed the participants of the celebration with a welcoming speech.

Vladyka noted that a teacher occupies a place in a person’s life that is remembered for many years.
