Archbishop Stefan congratulated teachers of the Gomel region on Teacher's Daytranslated

His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, took part in the solemn event dedicated to Teacher’s Day. The festive meeting took place on September 25, 2026 at the Gomel Regional Social and Cultural Center. The honorary guest of the celebration was also His Eminence Leonid, Bishop of Turov and Mozyr.

Deputy Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Dmitry Aleynikov addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He thanked teachers for their daily work and noted their role in educating people who will determine the future of the country.

Congratulating the teachers, Archbishop Stefan noted the long-term cooperation between educational institutions and the Church in the education of children and youth. The Bishop thanked the teachers for their work and wished success and grateful students who will follow the good example of their mentors and in the future will become worthy citizens of our country. The archpastor also wished those gathered strength, health, peace in families and the help of the Guardian Angel in all matters.

During the celebration, Archbishop Stefan presented the teachers with bishop's certificates for their significant contribution to the spiritual and moral education of the younger generation.
