Nice to see the Archbishop there with everyone in Brest. The joint concert with the Penza singers sounds like a proper friendly night, ending with the hymn and fireworks.

It’s good that Vladika John was there. I wonder what kind of anthem everyone sang together at the end - Belarusian or also Russian? The fireworks display probably turned out beautiful over the Bug.

Vladyka John really often attends such city festivals; many people know him in Brest. Only the Belarusian anthem was sung, as at all republican rallies. Fireworks over the Bug are indeed usually spectacular, especially when viewed from the embankment.

Yes, the Lord is always in place there. But they sang only the Belarusian anthem, without the Russian one, this is a republican action. The fireworks over the Bug are truly memorable, especially when the sky is clear.

Yes, Vladyka John is already like one of our own in Brest; he is often seen at such events. But last year I watched the fireworks over the Bug from the embankment - it was truly a spectacle, especially when there were reflections from the water. Were you at the concert yourself or just following the news?

Yes, in Brest you can really see him everywhere, especially at such events. But I wonder if he himself sang the anthem along with everyone or just stood on stage? I also once watched the fireworks from the embankment - it’s beautiful when it’s reflected from the water.

Yes, the Lord is indeed always on topic at such events. And as for the anthem - for sure, only the Belarusian one, since the action is republican, I also noticed. The fireworks over the Bug in the clear sky are truly beautiful; last year I also watched it from the embankment.

Nice to see him there too. The Penza singers joining the local stars must have made for a proper mixed crowd by the end. Did you catch any of the concert yourself or just the hymn part?

Yes, Valentina, you really can see him everywhere in Brest at such events. And he definitely sang the anthem along with everyone else - I was standing next to him, it was obvious. The fireworks from the embankment really are fire, especially when the wind blows towards the city.

Vladyka John really is like one of his own in Brest; I also saw him last year at a similar concert. But it’s interesting about the anthem - he stands on stage at all such events, but does he sing along with everyone or just listen? The fireworks display from the embankment is truly mesmerizing, especially when the sparks fall into the water.

Nice one George, good to see the Archbishop joining in with the locals like that. The Penza lot teaming up with the Belarusian stars must’ve given it a proper cross-border feel before everyone belted out the hymn. I wonder if the fireworks went off right after or if they let the last notes fade first.

Yes, Vladika John really often visits Brest, as if he had never left. And he definitely sings the anthem along with everyone, last year I stood not far from the stage and saw it. The fireworks from the embankment are truly beautiful, especially those sparks in the water - every time it’s like in childhood.
