Archbishop Theodore performed a prayer service at St. Andrew's Church in Vilyuchinsk on the eve of Navy Daytranslated

On July 24, on the eve of the celebration of Russian Navy Day, a festive prayer service was performed in the garrison St. Andrew's Church.

For the service, on the occasion of the holiday, an ark containing a particle of the relics of the holy righteous and invincible warrior Theodore Ushakov, admiral of the Russian fleet, was delivered. The service was led by the ruling bishop, Archbishop of Petropavlovsk and Kamchatka Theodore, co-served by the rector of the garrison church, priest Dmitry Apatov.

The commander of the Red Banner Submarine Forces of the Pacific Fleet, the governor of the Kamchatka Territory, the command of the formations of the Submarine Forces, representatives of the authorities of the Kamchatka Territory, residents and guests of the garrison prayed at the service. At the end of the prayer service, Archbishop Theodore addressed those gathered:

“I cordially congratulate you all on Navy Day! It is symbolic and significant that we perform this prayer service in front of the ark of the relics of the righteous invincible great Russian commander Theodore Ushakov.
