It's nice of the Archons to donate those flags. 35 years on the throne is a serious term, all honor to the Ecumenical Patriarch. In our parish, one of these would be useful, hanging in the church.

That's a nice gesture from the Archons. 35 years is a long time serving from the throne. Our little parish could use one of those banners too — it would look good near the icon of the Theotokos by the door.

Our parish got one last month and we hung it right by the narthex door, just like you said. It does catch the eye next to the Theotokos icon without being flashy. Did they tell you how to request one?

Our parish just got ours too and we put it on the opposite side of the narthex so it doesn't compete with the Theotokos icon — looks balanced that way. The order form was on the Archons' site under the "Resources" tab; took about two weeks to arrive. Did yours come with the little mounting hooks or did you have to find your own?
