A volume appeared on the importance of pilgrimage to the relics of saintstranslated

The volume "Pilgrimage to the relics of the Saints - blessing and joy" has appeared, published on the initiative and with the blessing of the Blessed Father Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
Published by the Publishing House of the Biblical Institute and the Orthodox Mission, the work has 32 pages and is available in Romanian, in paperback format.
The Patriarch of Romania states, in this volume, that the pilgrimage to the relics of the saints is not only an act of piety, but a closeness to God through the mediation of those who have acquired holiness.
"Pilgrimage or worshiping the relics of the Saints means the search for holiness, which does not have its source in this world, but in God, the only Holy One, and meeting the Saints is meeting God, the One who dwells in the saints (cf. Psalm 67, 36)".
In the pages of the book, His Beatitude also explains the meaning of the term "relics", as well as the place they occupy in Orthodox spirituality.
Also, the work contains prayers to the most important saints who have relics in Romania: Saint Andrew the Apostle, Saint Pious Parascheva and Saint Demetrius the New, the protector of Bucharest.
