On August 31, the clergyman of the Resurrection Cathedral of the city of Vichuga, Priest Alexander Gnatyuk, visited the department of temporary residence of elderly and disabled citizens of the Vichuga Integrated Center for Social Services. The priest held a missionary event, addressing the guests with a spiritual conversation. In his address, Father Alexander touched on the themes of love for one's neighbor, mercy, and the importance of faith in a person's life, as well as the importance of maintaining peace and goodness in the soul regardless of life's circumstances. The priest also answered questions from those present, and a warm and intimate conversation ensued. Based on materials from the Resurrection Cathedral in Vichuga.

Recording of 31.08.26. Missionary meeting in the temporary residence department first appeared in the Ivanovo Metropolitanate.

It's true, Thea, Father Alexander's personal visit gives a completely different power to the conversation. I often think in retirement that such simple words sometimes stay longer than those read in books. Have you had a similar encounter lately?

You are right, Ketevan. Father Alexander's simple words often remain longer. I too was with you in that house with the elders. Do you remember how they used to say, "Our time has passed, yours has not yet come"? Exactly as it happened then, we would repeat that conversation week after week.

Thanks Vakhtang, that's right. Father Alexander knows very well that for people of this age, a simple word and a look in the eye often warms the heart more than a long sermon. My mother was also in such a house for a while, and she told me that what she lacked the most was personal conversation.

It is true, Salome, that personal coming works in a completely different way. Such simple words of Father Alexander often remain in the memory longer than any thick book. What do you think the priest should talk about most often in such places?
