07.26.26 Prayer service in the village of Meskoritsatranslated

On July 26, on the day of remembrance of the Cathedral of the Archangel Gabriel, as part of the “Land of New Martyrs” program in the remote village of Meskoritsy, Volga region, a festive prayer service was held in a newly built chapel in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The service was performed by the diocesan missionary, secretary of the Diocesan Administration of the Ivanovo-Voznesensk Diocese, rector of the Transfiguration Church in the city of Ivanovo, Priest Georgy Vityazev, together with members of the organization “Orthodox Volunteers of the Ivanovo Metropolis” and pilgrims. The chapel was erected next to the site of the pre-revolutionary chapel of the same name, which was destroyed during the Soviet years. The new wooden chapel was built through the efforts of local residents and philanthropists.
