Thank God that Mass was held there on Sunday. I heard that at Skourvoulon there is a small and welcoming church, especially in summer when it's hot. Did you have many parishioners at the service?

Yes, I also went to Skourvoulon on Sunday morning. The church was cool, with the windows open to the orchard, and about 35-40 people gathered, many from neighboring villages. The priest spoke beautifully about the healing of the blind man from the Gospel, and after the Liturgy I sat a little in the shade with Daniela and a lady from Corfu who had brought spinach pies. Thank God it was possible.

I’m glad that 35–40 people gathered, especially from neighboring villages. In New York, we often open the windows in the summer, but they provide little coolness. I’m curious about the healing of the blind man—do you remember the sermon?
