On August 9, on the eve of the feast of the Shuya-Smolensk Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos, Metropolitan Joseph of Ivanovo-Voznesensk and Vichuga celebrated an all-night vigil in the Assumption Cathedral in the city of Ivanovo. During the service in the church there was an icon with part of the relics of St. Pitirim, Bishop of Tobolsk.

Concelebrating with the Bishop were Abbot Vitaly (Utkin), Hieromonk Macarius (Markish), Priest Vladimir Serbinenko, Priest Mikhail Kupriyanov, Protodeacon Pavel Konik, Hierodeacon Avksentiy (Fokin) and Hierodeacon Andrey (Datsko).

The proverbs were read by Hierodeacon Andrey (Datsko).

The Six Psalms was read by Roman Tretyak.

The liturgical chants were performed by a choir under the direction of Hieromonk John (Pletmintsev).

Reader Ilya Novikov and Roman Tretyak served as subdeacons.
