Преподобните Кир и Јован беа монаси чии овоземни животи ни останаа непознати, но нивниот спомен Црквата го почитува преку преводот на нивните мошти. На празникот Свети Јован Богослов, нивните мошти беа свечено преведени во манастирот Свети Јован Богослов на островот Патмос. Овој чин на преместување на нивните посмртни останки во место на поголемо почитување во рамките на манастирот означува признание од страна на Црквата за нивниот свет живот и духовната придобивка произлезена од нивните мошти. Иако во веродостојно предание не се зачувани конкретни детали за нивните монашки подвизи или точното време на нивното упокојување, нивното одбележување го потврдува православното разбирање дека верниците заминаа, особено оние кои живееја во смирение и молитва, продолжуваат да се застапуваат за Црквата.
