Teachers' Day in the Republic of Moldova: Metropolitan Antonie awarded 26 teacherstranslated

On Sunday, Metropolitan Antonie of Bessarabia awarded 26 teaching staff from the municipality of Bălți and from the north of the Republic of Moldova for the activity carried out in the training of the young generations.

The moment marked in advance World Teachers' Day, celebrated annually on October 5.

The program began with the celebration of the Holy Liturgy by His Holiness Father Antonie at the Episcopal Chapel "Sunday of the Romanian Saints" in Balti.

His Eminence emphasized the call of the Savior to take up the cross in concrete situations of teachers: patience to educate children, care for those at the beginning of the journey and fidelity to the truth that must be passed on to a generation.

At the same time, the Metropolitan of Bessarabia showed that the vocation of teachers is reflected in the course of his students. "In every child who loves knowledge there remains something of the love of his teacher," His Eminence said in the message delivered on the occasion of Teachers' Day.
