Romanian Firefighters' Day: Tribute to the heroes from Dealul Spirii and gratitude for today's rescuerstranslated

Firemen's Day in Romania was marked on Sunday at the Monument to the Heroes of the Firefighters in the Capital, through a military and religious ceremony in memory of those who sacrificed their lives in the battle on Spirii Hill in 1848.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the demonstration began with a memorial service for the firefighter heroes who lost their lives to save those in need.
The solemn moment was followed by the parade of four fire brigades, which daily staff the intervention crews to protect and save the population. The special technique used daily by rescuers to respond to fires, road accidents, floods and other emergencies was also presented.
At the merit recognition ceremony, Sergeant Major Maidan Lucian - Florentin, from ISU Bucharest-Ilfov, who received the honorary badge "Honorary Firefighter of the Year" and Platoon Adjutant Durnă Bogdan-Valentin, from ISU Brașov, who received the honorary badge "Honorary Rescuer of the Year".
