National Day of Giving, an opportunity to highlight generosity in family and societytranslated

National Day of Giving is celebrated every year on September 25. On the occasion of the Honorable Year of the Christian Family, this day sheds light on the role of the family and generosity towards one's neighbor.

"What most resembles man to God is the virtue of humble and generous love", emphasized the Preferred Father Patriarch Daniel in his address to the young people at ITO 2019.

In the family, giving is expressed through the time given to the other, the parents' care for the children and the support of the elderly.

Established in 2018 by the Romanian Parliament, the day is an opportunity to encourage generosity and social involvement. The law allows the organization of cultural, educational, artistic, voluntary, social events on this day, with the support of central and local authorities.

The celebration of this day provides an opportunity to engage people in philanthropic actions with the goal of promoting generosity as gratitude for the gift of life and the joy of sharing material resources and time with others.
