The living word and the connection of eras: a meeting with clergy took place at Mozhaisk College on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the translation of the Bibletranslated

On the eve of the great feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, a warm and meaningful meeting between students and the clergy took place within the walls of Mozhaisk College. The rector of the Archangel Michael Church in the city of Mozhaisk, priest Sergiy Andriyanov, and the rector of the Resurrection Church in the village of Borisovo, priest Sergiy Latyshev, came to visit the students.
The reason for the visit was a significant date - the 150th anniversary of the translation of the Holy Scriptures into Russian (the Synodal Translation), which opened a treasury of biblical wisdom for millions of people and had a huge impact on the development of Russian culture, literature and language.
The clergy gave a fascinating interactive lecture for the youth. They spoke not only about the history of creation and the difficulties of translating biblical texts, but also about the enduring value of the Word of God in the everyday life of every person. The students were especially delighted by a genuine rarity: the priests brought with them a unique exhibit - a liturgical altar Gospel of the early 19th century. The opportunity to touch living history and see an ancient tome with my own eyes turned an ordinary activity into a real historical journey.
After the lecture part, communication...
