The wives of St. Petersburg priests organized an art therapy session for the fighterstranslated

Prikhody.ru 06.11.2026. Representatives of the Union of Orthodox Mothers of the St. Petersburg Diocese visited wounded soldiers at the Military Medical Academy on the eve of the honoring of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and the celebration of National Unity Day.
Together with the artist Valeria Loshak, as part of the project “Drawing Russia Together,” the wives of priests and soldiers undergoing treatment created a large painting dedicated to the beauty of their native land: among flowering meadows and green groves on the bank of the river, an Orthodox church rises. Each participant in the action was given a brush and paints. Some filled the skies with light, some painted flowers, some painted a picturesque river. Gradually, from individual strokes, a single picture was born - the image of our Motherland, the press service of the metropolis reports.
The painting will decorate the space of the Military Medical Academy. After working on the canvas, the women visited hospital wards, distributed icons to the wounded, talked with them, and wrote down the names of those who wished to be prayed for for their health.
