Tomorrow Yekaterinburg will welcome the great Christian shrine - the right hand of St. Spyridon of Trimythoustranslated

On Friday, September 11, 2026, at 21:00, the great Christian shrine - the right hand of St. Spyridon of Trimythous - will arrive in Yekaterinburg. The Ural capital will become the 11th city that will “welcome St. Spyridon.”

Access to the ark with the relics of the great saint for prayerful veneration will be open in the Church on the Blood around the clock.  Prayer singing with the reading of the Akathist to St. Spyridon will be performed throughout the day by parishioners of Ural churches and guests of the city.

During the stay of the right hand in the upper aisle of the Church on the Blood, five divine services are planned by the bishop's order - night and morning Divine Liturgies, as well as the Saturday All-Night Vigil.

Believers from all over the Middle Urals and surrounding regions, as well as guests of the Ural capital from countries far and near abroad, gather to venerate the saint and touch the great shrine with their hearts.

In anticipation of the shrine, on September 11, from 20:00 on the square near the Church on the Blood, a prayer service will be performed with the reading of the Akathist to the saint, at 21:00 a solemn meeting of the right hand of St. Spyridon of Trimythous will begin.
