Completion of the first shift of the rehabilitation program for families of SVO participants at the Kazan Monasterytranslated

In the Samara region, on the basis of the Vinnovka pilgrimage center of the Holy Mother of God Kazan Monastery, a pilot shift of a comprehensive program for the spiritual and psychological recovery of families of SVO participants with children was completed. It was organized by the state fund “Defenders of the Fatherland”, the Social Department of the Samara Diocese and the Regional Government. With the blessing of Metropolitan Theodosius and at the invitation of the head of the Social Department, priests-supervisors of schools and employees of OroiK took part in the program along with a professional team of rehabilitation psychologists. The task of the clergy was to organize a Gospel group for rehabilitation participants. The Word of God according to the Gospel of Matthew, including the Savior’s Sermon on the Mount, became the starting point in the analysis of problematic life situations, in the search for creative meanings and goal-setting. During rehabilitation, the children of two families of participants received the sacrament of Baptism.
