The zero cycle of the church in the name of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God in Chertanovo South has been completedtranslated

Builders have completed work on the construction of the zero cycle of the church in the name of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God in the Chertanovo Yuzhnoye district in the south of Moscow, said Russian State Duma deputy, Patriarchal Advisor Vladimir Resin.

– Work on the construction of the zero cycle of the church has been completed. The design documentation for construction is currently being adjusted. We plan to obtain a construction permit by the end of 2026,” said Vladimir Resin, as quoted by his press service.

It is clarified that the stone church complex is being built according to the original design of the InvestProjectGroup company.

The three-story church with a basement level will be built in the Art Nouveau style of the early 20th century, harmoniously combining modern engineering solutions with the canons of church architecture.

It is noted that due to the complex terrain of the site with a significant difference in heights and strict height restrictions, the entrances to the complex were placed at different levels: from the north, believers will enter the first floor, and from the south, directly to the second.

In the basement and on the first floor of the church there will be a refectory, Sunday school classes, a candle shop and administrative offices.
