Young Cossacks were told about the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Marytranslated

Cossack culture is inseparable from the Orthodox tradition and veneration of the Mother of God. It was this semantic emphasis that became the basis of the meeting, which took place on October 15 at the Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution “Secondary School No. 19”. The assistant rector for interaction with the Cossacks, Priest German Gait, gave a lesson for students of the Cossack class on the topic “History and traditions of the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.” The conversation went beyond a simple retelling of the event. Father German revealed the history of the establishment of the holiday, explained the spiritual significance of the intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos and explained why the Intercession occupies a special place in the Cossack tradition. Schoolchildren learned what customs and forms of veneration are associated with this day among the Cossacks. The lively response from students confirmed the relevance of the topic. The guys asked questions about the veneration of the Mother of God, about miracles in Christian history and how to properly celebrate the Feast of the Intercession. The meeting became not only a history lesson, but also a conversation about spiritual guidelines important for the preservation of Cossack culture.
The entry Young Cossacks were told about the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared for the first time on the website of the Ekaterinodar and Kuban Diocese.
