The Jubilee Pilgrimage in Honor of Saint Elizabeth Feodorovna Will Take Place on September 27 in Moscow Oblasttranslated

On September 27, 2026, a jubilee XV Iliyevsk Pilgrimage will be held in Moscow Oblast – a procession in honor of the Holy Martyr Grand Princess Elizabeth Feodorovna, which is annually celebrated at the beginning of autumn.

In 2026, the pilgrimage will also coincide with three significant anniversaries: the 135th anniversary of Grand Princess Elizabeth Feodorovna's conversion to Orthodoxy, the 135th anniversary of her husband, Grand Prince Sergei Alexandrovich, being appointed Governor-General of Moscow, and the 130th anniversary of the coronation of Emperor Nicholas II, who resided with his family at the estate "Ilyinskoye-Usvovo," reported to the journal "Foma" by the organizers – the Foundation for the Iliyevsko-Sergeevsky Educational Society (Foundation ESES).

As is traditional, the procession will take place along a unique route that connects the ancient villages of the only Imperial Estate in Moscow Oblast, "Ilyinskoye-Usvovo."

This estate belonged to Empress Maria Alexandrovna from 1864 to 1880 and was then inherited by her son, Grand Prince Sergei Alexandrovich, and his wife, the Holy Grand Princess Elizabeth Feodorovna.

As part of the pilgrimage, a memorial service for the Holy Martyr Grand Princess Elizabeth Feodorovna and the Royal Passion-Bearers will be held.
