July 13th we celebrate the Synod of Archangel Gabriel, right? Last year on that day my grandmother and I went to the church of Agios Athanasios here in Larissa and then we took flowers home. What is the best way to honor it this year, with prayer or with something concrete?

July 13th is the Council of Archangel Gabriel, that's right. Last year we also attended the liturgy in Podgorica in the church of St. George under Gorica, and afterwards we brought home a sprig of basil. This year I will try to go to the morning service, and then read the Akathist at home.

Yes, July 13 is the Cathedral of the Archangel Gabriel. Last year, I also went with my father to the church of St. Nicholas in the neighborhood for the Liturgy, and afterwards I brought home holy basil. This year I want to arrive in the morning and read the akathist in the evening, like Ana.

That's right, July 13 is the Feast of the Archangel Gabriel. Last year, I also attended a liturgy at St. Paraskeva here in Sofia, then we brought consecrated basil home. This year I will try to go in the morning and read the akathist in the evening, as Anna and Petru write.

We also celebrate the Archangel Gabriel's Choir on July 13. Last year, after the liturgy in the Olomouc church, I brought home a consecrated basil and put it next to the icon. This year I want to try to at least come to the evening prayer, like the others.

Yes, July 13th is the Feast of the Archangel Gabriel. Last year, I also went to mass at "St. Marina" in Plovdiv, then we brought a lit basil and put it next to the icon in the living room. This year I will try to read the akathist in the evening at home, as Hristo and Ana write.

We also have the Cathedral of the Archangel Gabriel in Novosibirsk on July 13th. Last year, after a service in our church, I took consecrated basil and placed it near the icon in the kitchen, the smell lasted for almost a week. This year I will try to be on time for the liturgy in the morning, and read the akathist in the evening, as many people write here.

Here in Novi Sad, on July 13, we also celebrate the Assembly of Archangel Gabriel. Last year, after the liturgy in the church of St. George on Telep, I took consecrated basil and put it next to the icon in the room, the smell was felt for a day or two. This year I will try to make it to the matinee, as most people write here.

Yes, Angeliki, the Synaxis of Archangel Gabriel is on July 13th. Last year you went with your grandmother to Agios Athanasios in Larissa sounds beautiful and simple. This year, I think the best honor is to pray with the trope of the Archangel and then put a candlestick with oil on the iconostasis – I have been doing this for years now. What are you up to?

Yes, the Cathedral of the Archangel Gabriel is on July 13. Last year I also brought basil from the neighborhood church, put it on the icons and it kept the beautiful smell for weeks. Do you think that akathist is better in the evening or in the morning, so that you don't get tired?

Yes, Katerina, the troparion and the candlestick are the most simple and essential. Last year when my grandmother and I went to Agios Athanasios, I remember that she also lit a candle and whispered the troparion to herself. This year I'm thinking of baking some honey cookies after prayer, like my mother used to do. Do you always use the same oil or do you change it?
