World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay has called for a mission grounded in justice, reconciliation, humility, and mutual partnership in a message to the General Assembly of Evangelische Mission Weltweit (EMW), the Association of Protestant Churches and Mission Germany, on 15 October.

During a church service on October 15, EMW Director Pastor Balázs Ódor was officially inducted into his role at the EMW. The service took place at the Heiliggeistkirche in Frankfurt am Main, coinciding with the EMW General Assembly (held from October 14 to 16, 2026). Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay was a guest of honor at this special occasion.
