WCC Faith and Order Commission meeting in Sweden

The World Council of Churches (WCC) Commission on Faith and Order will meet with two plenary panels on “ Faith and Order in Sweden and the Nordics.”

These sessions will bring together church leaders and theologians from across the region to reflect on the current ecclesial landscape and its connection to the ecclesiological questions and other themes the commission is exploring.

Participants will also hear youth perspectives on Faith and Order.

On 31 October, an Ecumenical Vespers in Lund Cathedral will mark Reformation Day. The service will also commemorate the tenth anniversary of Pope Francis' visit to Lund and the joint Catholic–Lutheran commemoration of the Reformation. The WCC Faith and Order Commission has been…

Interesting to see the commission heading to Sweden next after that big gathering in Egypt last year. The Ecumenical Vespers in Lund Cathedral on Reformation Day sounds worth following, especially with the 10-year mark of the Pope’s visit. Anyone know if they’ll be streaming the youth perspectives panel?
