Warsaw hosted 19th National Conference of Advisors of Orthodox Religious Education

On February 5, 2026, at the Orthodox Culture Centre of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Warsaw, with the blessing of Metropolitan Sawa of Warsaw and All Poland, the 19th National Conference of Methodological Advisors and Inspectors of Orthodox Religious Education was held.

The aim of the Conference was to exchange information and experiences regarding the organisation of Orthodox religious education in schools and catechetical centres under the new conditions arising from the changes and decisions of the Ministry of National Education, as well as to define further tasks and directions for action in the field of religious education.

The Conference began with a prayer service served in the academic chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius at the Orthodox Culture Centre by Protopresbyter Julian Felenczak, Inspector of Orthodox Religious Education of the Przemyśl–Gorlice Diocese.

The official programme opened with a meeting with His Beatitude Sawa, Metropolitan of Warsaw and All Poland, and representatives of the Ministry of National Education: Katarzyna Lubnauer, Secretary of State, and Małgorzata Krasuska, General Counsellor of the Ministry of National Education.
