On July 6, the day of the festival in honor of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, established in memory of the salvation of Moscow from the invasion of Khan Akhmat in 1480, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael in Rybnitsa.
Concelebrating with the Archpastor was the first assistant to the Ruling Bishop, Archimandrite John (Danilescu), the dean of the Rybnitsa district and the rector of the cathedral, Archimandrite Victor (Sayapin), the dean of the Dubossary and Bendery districts, Archpriests Georgy Lisovsky and Mikhail Lungu, as well as the clergy of the Rybnitsa, Central and Bendery deaneries of the diocese.
Numerous parishioners prayed during the service, gathered to share the joy of Sunday and the celebration in honor of the Vladimir Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos.
At the small entrance, the cleric of the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael, Hieromonk Lazar (Sotnikov), was awarded for his labors for the glory of the Holy Mother of the Church and as an encouragement for further pastoral labors, the right to wear the vestment during the Divine Liturgy.
