His Eminence the Bishop celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the 20th Sunday after Pentecosttranslated

On October 18, the 20th Sunday after Pentecost and the day of the celebration of the memory of the Council of Moscow Saints and the Gerbovetsky Icon of the Mother of God, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Tiraspol. His Eminence was served by the clergy of the church. During the Divine Liturgy, an excerpt from the Gospel of Luke (Luke 6:31–36) was read, in which the Lord Jesus Christ calls on the disciples to do unto others as they would have them do unto them, to love their enemies, to do good, and to show mercy. These words reveal the essence of a Christian attitude towards one's neighbor, based not on the expectation of reciprocal gratitude, but on love and the desire to imitate the mercy of the Heavenly Father. At the end of the Divine Liturgy, glorification was performed in front of the copy of the Gerbovetsky Icon of the Mother of God. This image is especially revered in our region as a shrine to which believers turn with prayer for the intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos and help in life’s trials.
