His Eminence the Bishop performed a divine service on the eve of the Feast of the Removal of the Venerable Trees of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lordtranslated

On the evening of August 13, on the eve of the feast of the Removal of the Honorable Trees of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary performed a divine service with the rite of removal of the Honorable and Life-giving Cross in the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Tiraspol. Concelebrating with His Eminence Vladyka were hieromonks John (Traito) and Simeon (Lupashko), as well as deacon Grigory Martynov, who is undergoing liturgical practice. During Matins, after the Great Doxology, the Ruling Bishop performed the rite of bearing the Cross of the Lord. While singing the troparion “We worship Your Cross, O Master, and glorify Your Holy Resurrection,” the clergy and believers worshiped the Holy Cross. After this, Archbishop Sava anointed the clergy and parishioners with the blessed oil. At the end of the service, His Eminence addressed the worshipers with an archpastoral word.

The Bishop reminded that the Cross of Christ is not only a shrine for Christians, but also an immutable testimony of God’s love for the human race, a sign of the Savior’s victory over sin and death.
