A new book by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill titled "On the Holy Scripture" has been published.translated

The Moscow Patriarchate Publishing House has released a new book by His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, entitled "On the Holy Scripture. Thoughts for Each Day of the Year."

The compiler is deacon Ioann Zmiev. The book was published under the general editorship of Metropolitan Evgeny, chairman of the Synodal Department for Religious Education and Catechism.

What is the Holy Scripture? Why do we call the Bible the Word of God? How should it be read correctly so that it becomes a guide in life? On these and many other questions, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia provides answers. The book contains 366 fragments (one for each day of the year), to accompany the reader daily with the Word of God as interpreted by the Head of the Church.

The book is addressed to all who strive to deepen their understanding of the basics of Orthodox faith: students of Sunday schools, students of theological and secular educational institutions, clergy seeking inspiration for preaching, and those who are just discovering the Bible.

Prepared within the framework of the Patriarchal program on studying the Bible by the Synodal Department for Religious Education and Catechism, the book is intended to help modern man hear the living Word of God addressed to every heart.
