A free Russian game in the genre of mystical realism "Ladder" about a teenager on the Russian North has been released and is available for download on VK Play.

The game was developed by the independent studio "Good Games" as part of the "Ladder to Heaven" project, supported by a grant from the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives (PFCI), reported the magazine "Foma" to the game developers.

The role-playing game unfolds in the atmosphere of a provincial Russian North city at the beginning of the 2000s. It combines traditional mystery-solving and quests in this genre with new mechanics based on Orthodox anthropology, reflecting the inner struggle of the hero when making decisions and his spiritual journey.

At the center of the plot is a 17-year-old boy who becomes involved in a detective story about the theft of a precious relic. While investigating the crime, the hero gains the ability to see the past and travels from the early 21st century to Ancient Rus, where he finds the roots of contemporary events.
