A new issue of the Orthodox children's magazine “Bell” has been published. In the July issue, young readers will find stories about the main church holidays of the month, poems by Russian classics and modern authors, as well as an educational story about traffic rules.
According to tradition, the issue opens with materials about the Orthodox holidays of July. Children will be able to learn about the Nativity of John the Baptist, Family Day, love and fidelity, the memory of the holy noble princes Peter and Fevronia of Murom, the feast of the supreme apostles Peter and Paul, as well as Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir.
In the section “Through the Pages of Classics” works by Alexander Tvardovsky and the 19th century poet Ivan Surikov are published. Contemporary children's poetry is represented by Irina Batu, Angelina Egorova and finalist of the Korney Chukovsky Literary Prize Anastasia Onishkova.
The literary part of the issue ends with Olga Andreeva’s story “What are the traffic lights thinking about?”, which introduces children to the rules of the road in a fun way.
