Meeting at the Istra Professional College dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Synodal Translation of the Bibletranslated

On October 8, at the Istra Vocational College, a branch of the State University of Humanities and Technology, a meeting of students took place with the cleric of the Myronositsky Church, priest Maxim Saryev, who is responsible in the Istra deanery for interaction with organizations of higher and secondary vocational education.
The meeting was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Synodal Translation of the Bible. The priest briefly told the children about the most important book for Christians, about the composition of the books of the Old and New Testaments, about the history of translating the Bible into the Slavic language. Students also became acquainted with the history of the creation of the Synodal translation of the Holy Scriptures into Russian, noted its special significance and influence on Russian culture, education and the formation of moral guidelines in society.
At the end of the meeting, the students, in an open conversation, together with the priest, reflected on important issues that concern them: about man, about good and evil, about the importance of spiritual life.
