Meeting with students at the Istra branch of Krasnogorsk Collegetranslated

On October 19, the cleric of the Myronositsky Church in the city of Istra, priest Maxim Saryev, who is responsible in the Istra deanery for interaction with organizations of higher and secondary vocational education, at the invitation of the administration, visited the Istra branch of the Krasnogorsk College.

At a meeting with two groups of first-year students, the clergyman spoke about an important event being celebrated this year - the 150th anniversary of the Synodal Translation of the Bible. Father Maxim briefly spoke about the formation of the corpus of books of the Old and New Testaments, about the translation of the Holy Scriptures into the Slavic language by Saints Cyril and Methodius, Equal-to-the-Apostles, about the background and history of translating the Bible into Russian.

The meeting ended with a lively joint conversation and reflection on issues that concern students: the place and meaning of religion and spiritual life in the modern world, prayer and the Sacraments of the Church, the problem of good and evil, family and marriage.
