Meeting with the wards of the Belarusian Society of the Deaf on the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lordtranslated

On August 19, 2026, on the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord God and our Savior Jesus Christ, in the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Brest, another meeting was held with the wards of the Brest regional organization of the public association “Belarusian Society of the Deaf.” People with hearing impairments prayed during the Divine Liturgy. The translation of the service into sign language was carried out by R.V. Pavlovich. The synchronization of liturgical texts and gospel readings was prepared by Yu.V. Kravchuk. Priest Leonid Simonchik held a spiritual conversation in which he spoke about the Transfiguration of the Lord and the traditions associated with this day.

It's good that they met again on such an important day. I wonder how the story of the Transfiguration on Mount Tabor is translated into sign language - probably R.V. Pawłowicz had a lot of work to do. Thank you for this report, in Gdańsk we also sometimes host deaf people at the liturgy.

In Samara, we also sometimes invite deaf people to services, but the translator is always tired, especially with texts such as the Transfiguration. I wonder how R.V.
