Meeting the Ark with a particle of the relics of the Holy Blessed Matrona of Moscow in Novopolotsktranslated

October 11, 2026 · 1 min read

On October 11, the parish of the Church of the Holy Archangel Michael in Novopolotsk solemnly welcomed the ark with a particle of the relics of the holy blessed Matrona of Moscow.

On this day, residents and guests of the city came to worship the shrine. People of all ages gathered in the church, many came with whole families to offer prayers to the holy blessed Matrona with one heart. Her entire earthly life was an unceasing, quiet feat that showed the world the purest example of Christian humility, boundless patience and that sacrificial, all-forgiving love for God and neighbor, which to this day warms and comforts every believing heart.

The prayer service to the holy blessed Matrona was performed by the clergy of the parish: Priest Andrei Babushkin and Priest Tikhon Antukh. The liturgical hymns were performed by the church choir under the direction of Natalya Khvenets.

During the day, the shrine will remain in the parish of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel.

On the evening of October 12, the ark will be solemnly conveyed to the parish of the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Novopolotsk.
