On the church-state holiday, Day of National Unity, the diocesan administration of the Tara diocese held a meeting between Bishop Vikenty of Tara and Tyukalinsk with the Head of the Tara municipal district of the Omsk region, Evgeniy Nikolaevich Lysakov.

During the meeting, the head and the archpastor congratulated each other on the feast of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and the Day of National Unity.

The meeting was attended by: Advisor to the Civil Registry Office for the Tara District of the Main State Legal Administration of the Omsk Region Elena Evgenievna Lysakova, employees of the diocesan administration.

Current issues of church and social life of the region and the diocese were discussed, including the creation of the Cherry Orchard on the territory of the diocesan administration, which it was decided to name in honor of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, who will celebrate his 80th birthday on November 20.

At the end of the meeting, the director of the diocese presented Evgeniy Nikolaevich with the image of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, and Elena Evgenievna with the anniversary breastplate “250th anniversary of the Spassky Cathedral of Tara.”
