All-night vigil in the Sergius Refectory Church of the Trinity-Sergius Lavratranslated

On October 7, on the eve of the repose of St. Sergius, abbot of Radonezh, wonderworker of all Russia, festive services were held in the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' celebrated the all-night vigil at the Trinity Cathedral.

According to tradition, bishop’s services on this day were also performed in other churches of the monastery. A council of bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church, including Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky, held an all-night vigil in the Sergius refectory church of the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius. The service was led by Metropolitan Pavel of Krutitsky and Kolomna. The brethren of the monastery in holy orders co-served with the bishops.
